We were called out on Sunday afternoon by NEAS to a mountain biker with what turned out to be a painful upper arm injury on the moor above Edmondbyers. HART attended but could only manage to get there vehicle around half a mile from the Casualty. We eventually got Mobile 2 closer however because of the roughness of the terrain we used the stretcher and the wheel to transport Casualty around 800 m where we then loaded him in to mobile two for transportation to the road head and a waiting ambulance.
